Why PDFTURA
Free without a catch
No daily task limit, no paywall, no watermark on the output, and no email address asked for before a tool will run.
Your file stays yours
Most tools do the work inside your browser tab, so the file is never transmitted. The few that need a server — OCR, Protect, Unlock — say so on their own page instead of hiding it.
No account, ever required
Every tool works signed out. An account adds a Plan & usage page showing your remaining AI allowance and recent runs, and a higher daily ceiling on the AI tools.
Nothing to install
No download, no plugin, no desktop app. It runs in the browser you already have, on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS.
How it works
- 1 Pick a tool from the grid above — or search for what you need in plain words.
- 2 Add your file or paste your text. For a browser tool it is read locally; for the handful of server tools it is uploaded and swept from the server afterwards.
- 3 Download your result. No watermark, no "upgrade to save", no account.
Built for the document work that actually shows up
Most visitors arrive with one job and a deadline. These are the ones people come back for.
Applying for something
Merge a CV with a covering letter and certificates, then compress the result under an upload limit that rejects anything over a few megabytes. Nothing personal leaves your device while you do it.
Sending a contract
Fill and sign, add page numbers so nobody can remove a sheet unnoticed, flatten the form so the values cannot be edited, and put a password on it if it should not travel openly.
Getting text out of paper
Photograph a printed page, run it through OCR to make it searchable, then pull the text into Word, Excel or plain text — without retyping a paragraph.
Making a document printable
Rotate a sideways scan, crop the grey border, stamp a watermark, and compress it so the print shop's upload form accepts it. Four tools, one afternoon's worth of tidy-up.

What actually changes when the tool runs on your device
No upload time
A 40 MB scan takes as long to open as your disk takes to read it. There is no upload bar and no queue behind other people's files, which is the part that usually takes the time on a server-based tool.
Nothing to delete afterwards
When the work happens in the tab, no copy is created on a server, so there is nothing to purge and nothing that could be left behind by a failed cleanup job. Closing the tab is the end of it.
Works without an account
No sign-up wall appears after the first free file, because there is no per-user cost to recover. The tools are free before and after you decide whether to register.
Honest about the exceptions
OCR, Protect and Unlock need a real engine, so they run on the server. Each of their pages says so plainly instead of claiming privacy the tool cannot deliver.

Is PDFTURA really free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no daily task limit, no watermark on the output, and no paywall in front of the download. There is no "free tier" whose real limits appear after you have already done the work.
Do my files get uploaded?
For most tools, no. They run inside your browser tab, so the file is read locally and never transmitted. A few tools need a real server-side engine — OCR PDF, Protect PDF, Unlock PDF and the Office conversions when the host has LibreOffice — and their own pages say so. On those, an uploaded file exists only for the length of the job: the result is deleted from the server the moment it is served to you, and anything left behind by an abandoned run is swept on a one-hour default.
Do I need an account?
No. Every tool works signed out. An account adds a Plan & usage page — your remaining AI allowance and recent runs — plus a higher daily ceiling on the AI tools, which cost money to run and so are the one place a limit exists.
Are the AI tools free too?
Yes. They run on free provider tiers with automatic failover, so a provider going down or hitting its quota does not stop the tool. The trade-off is speed: AI results can take several seconds, and during a busy moment the site may fall back to a slower provider rather than fail.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes for reading, scanning and the simpler tools. The visual editors — Annotate, Fill & Sign, Redact, Edit and Organize — are usable on a phone but much easier with a pointer, because they need precise positioning. Heavy files are also better on a computer: a browser tab on a phone runs out of memory sooner.
What happens to my file if the tool fails halfway?
On a browser tool, nothing: the original on your disk is untouched, because the tool builds a new file rather than modifying yours. On a server tool, the upload is still swept by the same cleanup job, so a failed run does not leave a copy sitting there.
