Runs in your browser — your file never leaves your device.

Turn PNG images into a single PDF, in the browser, without uploading them. PNG is the right format for screenshots, line art and anything with transparency, and this tool embeds each file as it is rather than flattening it, so edges stay crisp. Choose A4 or US Letter for a uniform document or match each image, set a margin, and the pages are assembled in the order you listed them.

How to use PNG to PDF

  1. Click "Select PNG files" and pick your images.
  2. Check the order in the file list — that is the page order.
  3. Choose a page size, or "Match each image" to keep every page identical to its picture.
  4. Set a margin in points if you want a border. 72 points is one inch.
  5. Click "Convert to PDF" and download the result.

Who it is for

PNG to PDF is for screenshots, line art and anything with hard edges or transparency that has to become a document: a UI screenshot for a bug report, a diagram exported from a design tool, a chart captured from a dashboard, or a signed image that must be filed as a PDF.

How it works

  • Each PNG is embedded without re-encoding, so the crisp edges that made it a PNG survive into the PDF.
  • Page order follows the file list, and pages can be A4, US Letter, or matched to each image.
  • A margin in points sets a border around the image on the page.

What it cannot do

  • A transparent background becomes white, because a PDF page has nothing behind it. A screenshot with a dark theme will lose that dark surround.
  • PNG is lossless, so the resulting PDF can be noticeably larger than an equivalent set of JPEGs.
  • PNG only — a mixed set belongs in Images to PDF.
  • Very high-resolution screenshots are embedded at full size, so file size grows with resolution rather than with the number of pages.

Frequently asked questions

Does a transparent background stay transparent?

In the PDF it becomes white, because a page has no transparency behind it. That is the right result for most screenshots, and worth knowing before you wonder where the checkerboard went.

Is PNG better than JPG for a document?

Usually, for anything with text or hard edges. JPEG compresses by blurring detail, which shows up as fringing around letters, while PNG is lossless so a screenshot stays sharp. Photographs are the exception, where JPEG is far smaller for no visible loss.

Can I mix PNG and JPEG in one document?

Not here — use Images to PDF for a mixture. This tool accepts PNG only so each image can be embedded without re-encoding.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is built in your browser with pdf-lib, so nothing leaves your device.
