Your file is ready.
Delete pages from a PDF without uploading it — pick the ones you do not want and download a clean copy with everything else untouched. Remove Pages runs entirely in your browser: the file is opened locally, the pages you keep are copied into a new document, and the result downloads straight to your device. Type single pages, ranges, or a mix of both, and every page you have marked is flagged with a red cross in the preview so you can check your own work before committing. Text stays selectable, images are not recompressed, and there is no watermark and no sign-up.
How to use Remove Pages
- Click "Select PDF file" and choose your PDF. A thumbnail strip of the pages appears.
- In "Pages to remove", type the pages you want gone — single numbers, ranges, or a mix, like 2,7-9.
- Check the preview: every page you have targeted is marked with a red cross.
- Click "Remove Pages" and download the trimmed copy.
Who it is for
Remove Pages is for cutting things out of a document you cannot otherwise edit: blank sheets a scanner added at the end, an appendix that should not travel with the report, the page of terms that does not apply to this customer, or a page that carries information the recipient should not see. It is also the fastest fix for a two-sided scan that picked up the back of a divider, which is the blank page that appears most often in the middle of a document rather than at the end.
How it works
- The pages you keep are copied into a brand-new document with pdf-lib. Nothing is re-rendered, so the surviving pages keep their text layer, fonts and image quality exactly as they were.
- Pages are named the way a print dialog expects: single numbers, ranges, or a mix — 2, 5-9, 14. Everything you list is removed; everything else is kept in its original order.
- The preview marks each page you have listed with a red cross before you commit, so a mistyped page number is visible rather than discovered after the download.
What it cannot do
- Removal is permanent in the new file — there is no undo after saving. The original on your disk is untouched, so a mistake costs a re-run, not the document.
- Bookmarks and form fields are not rebuilt, and a form field that lived on a removed page takes whatever it referenced with it.
- This is not a redaction tool. Removing a page prevents a casual reader seeing it; it does not scrub the text from the file's history the way Redact PDF plus rasterising does.
- Encrypted files must be unlocked first, because their pages cannot be read to copy them.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly can I type in the page box?
Single page numbers and hyphenated ranges, separated by commas — 3, or 3-5, or 1,4,9-12 all work. Reversed ranges like 9-4 are read correctly, numbers past the last page are ignored, and duplicates collapse. Words such as "odd", "even" and "last" are not recognised, and neither is an open-ended range like 5-.
Is my PDF uploaded to delete pages?
No. Everything happens in your browser and the file never leaves your computer, which is what makes this safe for contracts, bank statements and medical records.
Can I delete every page?
No, and the tool stops you — at least one page has to survive or there would be no PDF to download. If what you actually want is the removed pages as a file of their own, use Split PDF or Extract Pages instead.
Will the page numbers printed on the pages change?
No. Numbers drawn onto the page are part of the page itself and stay as they are, so a trimmed document can end up reading 1, 2, 5, 6. Run Add Page Numbers afterwards if you need a fresh continuous sequence.
Does removing pages make the file smaller?
Usually, though rarely in proportion. The pages you keep are copied across with the resources they need, and anything only the deleted pages used is left behind — so a file whose weight came from one large image on a page you kept will barely change.
Can I reorder or rotate pages here too?
Not in this tool; it only deletes. Organize PDF handles reordering and Rotate PDF handles orientation, and both work the same private, in-browser way.
